MLEI’s role is limited to finding and organising the records. It supports the work around your opinion; it never tries to replace it.

MLEI does not assess causation, grade severity or flag inconsistencies. You make those judgments as part of your review.

MLEI does not produce overview paragraphs or draft conclusions. Extracted text carries its original page reference so you can check it against the record.

You provide the incident date and injury location through a form. MLEI identifies entries for review but does not answer questions about the case.

MLEI does not analyse radiographs, MRI scans or other diagnostic images and reads the written radiology report instead.

05 · Questions
What to know before using MLEI.
Is any record content uploaded to a server?
No. Bundle processing takes place on your computer. MLEI sends only your account identifier, licence status, application version and device identifier for licence checks. Diagnostic and crash reports are sent only if you opt in and contain no content derived from the records.
Can MLEI write the report for me?
No. MLEI does not generate summaries, conclusions or other report prose. It presents extracted text with direct links to the original pages, and you decide what to use in your report.
What happens when MLEI cannot read handwriting?
MLEI adds the page to the unread register and records the reason. You review and acknowledge this register before exporting, and the total appears at the top of the export.
What if MLEI misses something?
MLEI cannot guarantee that every relevant entry will be found. Borderline matches remain visible, and the unread register identifies pages that could not be processed. You remain responsible for the final review.
Does MLEI work without an internet connection?
Yes. After a successful licence check, MLEI can work offline for up to seven days. The interface shows how many days remain and does not interrupt processing already underway.
Which injury locations does MLEI support?
The injury picker shows every supported body region and includes left and right options where clinically relevant. If a region is not supported, MLEI tells you before processing begins.
